• The Louisiana is delivered fully assembled. Only the fridge still needs to be plugged in.

Wood is a natural product. Knots, grain patterns, small cracks and seams are normal and make every outdoor kitchen unique. The finish is different from an indoor kitchen and is made for outdoor use. The Louisiana is built from two-sided planed and dried douglas wood, the same wood as the rest of the range. Planed wood is splinter-free and dried wood remains stable, which you'll notice especially after the first wet winter. If you leave it untreated, the colour will fade to silver-grey within one or two seasons; with an annual layer of wood oil it stays reddish-brown. In this model, the ceramic tile sits above the fridge, which requires a bit of common sense. A pan that has just come off the heat radiates its warmth downwards, right above the cooling space, causing the compressor to run longer than necessary. Place a trivet in between or let the pan stand on the wooden section on the right for a minute first. Also, the fridge needs to release air at the back, so leave a few centimetres of space free behind the cupboard.

• Balcony or narrow patio where 98,4 cm still just fits past the table.
• Second cooling point by a swimming pool or garden shed, away from the indoor kitchen.
• Drinks for six to eight people: cold drinks within reach and a 98,4 cm worktop for glasses and dishes.
